Ink Jet / Laser for Plates side Edge

To achieve traceability of plates when stored in piles at warehouse or during loading/delivering operation, plates can be marked on side edge, with both human readable characters and bar code.
Green Project manufactures machines that satisfy this requirement, both configured as stand alone or combined machine.

Main Marking Features

  • Cold application up to 150°C (Ink Jet technology) or Hot application (up to 750°C) Laser technology
  • Marking position: on plate side edge
  • Marking orientation: lengthwise
  • Static (plate stopped under marking machine)
  • A clear black mark (characters and bar code) written on a white dried ribbon background
  • Symbols: letters, numbers, special characters (logos), Bar code
  • Height of symbols from 2 mm to 12 mm, in one or more lines
  • Font based on dot matrix: 7, 9, 12, 16 or 23 dots in height

System configuration

  • Carriage installed on a structure, being a fixed cantilevered beam or a bridge overcrossing the plate conveyor line
  • One Ink Jet marking head / One laser marking head
  • One TEMA mono unit that generates a bright white ribbon to obtain contrast with the black printed characters
  • One fan heater (that dry painted line before marking)
  • Power and control cabinet
  • Control desk with HMI

Functional features
Flexible automation functions assure precise positioning of the markings, symbols size automatically adaptable to plate thickness, different dot matrices.
Management of Mother / Daughter plates.
Host connection (Ethernet, Profibus or other common industrial fieldbus).

Optional functions
Marking a Bar code readable by a standard reader (combined marking / reading function to achieve automatic tracking of plates)
